Vienna Demeduk says that while she was in the ICU — transported in a net hammock because she could not walk — CT technicians whispered to her that she was "the seventh person this week" who was young and highly athletic to come through. She says doctors only spoke to her about what they were seeing when no one else was in the room, and that her medical file from VGH hospital was extensively redacted. After years with virtually no medical follow-up, she moved to Victoria to attempt a return to work one day a week — then says she had three more strokes and learned there were blood clots in her head she had not known about. She says she did not understand why everyone around her was whispering.
