Jannine Duffy tells the Allison Inquiry that her son Robert, 42, could not bear to see her in pain and stayed away, talking with her by phone. She says he died suddenly after receiving a COVID shot and a flu shot; his autopsy, she says, listed bacterial pneumonia, though he had seemed fine days before. Her daughter then describes learning of her brother’s death from a police officer at her door, and losing, in a way, the mother she knew. She says conversations with friends have become ‘padded,’ and that some close friendships now rest on an agreement not to discuss the subject at all.
