Lawyer Catherine Christensen tells the Allison Inquiry that Canadian Armed Forces members who accepted a mandated COVID-19 vaccination were left facing what she calls ‘two closed doors’ to compensation: the CAF, she says, does not attribute the injury, and the Vaccine Impact Assistance Program then treats that silence as proof nothing service-related occurred. ‘That promise was not kept,’ she states. She also describes Michael McNair, 41, an 11-year CAF communications specialist who climbed 100-to-400-metre towers daily and passed yearly physicals — raising the question of what happened after the mandate.
