Rodney Palmer, a former CBC journalist, told the Allison Inquiry that in his view CBC shifted from being a public broadcaster to a state broadcaster during COVID. He says it aligned with the Trusted News Initiative, an international standards body he describes as difficult to research. Palmer also pointed to data he says shows 484 of 488 reported vaccine-related deaths were later dismissed as non-causal, asking how a review panel can dismiss close to 100% of cases where doctors attributed death to COVID-19 on death certificates. He says he does not know who directed CBC, but suggests the shift may have come from its president.
